Brief

The customer had identified that with both stainless steel tanks were losing water. This meant that part of the treatment process was interrupted.

K&G were contracted with investigating the fault to establish the exact cause, writing a report, submitting a quote for expected works and finally completing repairs and bringing the facility back online.

Solution

As this was a confined space entry, we had to provide three confined space engineers along with all confined space entry equipment.

The tanks were pressure tested and leaks and weaknesses in the tanks were highlighted. Once identified K&G removed the damaged stainless steel and fabricated new panels in our workshop. These were then installed and welded within the tanks. Again the tank was pressure tested and found to be sound.

We then worked closely with our partners at a crane company and commenced the lifting of the membranes back into the tanks. After which, we were able to refill with water and the job was complete.

Outcome

The customer was then able to begin identifying any problems with other aspects of the functions of the tanks.
