To build an acid water recycling tank base frame with platforms.
What we did
We began the project by manufacturing the steel frame for the recycling tank in a bolted fish plate format for ease of transportation to site and galvanising. This was constructed at our workshops for Tate & Lyle to inspect and approve before being galvanised. The frame was then delivered to site and positioned onto the pre-built concrete pad where further strengthening welds were added to the frame. We then assisted with the positioning of the tank. Next we installed platforms and handrails pre-manufactured in our workshops to specifications provided by Tate & Lyle and undertook all the health and safety requirements in collaboration with them.
We delivered a robust, high specification solution, compliant with health and safety requirements that is an impressive addition to Tate & Lyle’s production systems.
Mild steel and stainless steel manufacturing; Onsite installation
K&G gained from one of their major customers Tate and Lyle Sugars the contract to build an acid water recycling tank base frame with platforms. The steel work frame was manufactured in a bolted fish plate format for ease of transportation and galvanising. This was built up at our workshop facilities for our customer to see and approve before being sent away for galvanising. When delivered to site and positioned on a pre-built concrete pad, further strengthening welds were added to the structure. K&G then assisted in the positioning of the tank and after fixing the pre manufactured platforms and handrails which were installed by K&G working to Tate and Lyle drawings whilst carrying out all health and safety requirements and working hand in hand to achieve an impressive addition to Tate and Lyle’s production systems.
